Our spontaneous session centered around analog photography. The photo presented here is just a complement. Next to it you can see a preview from a large format camera. The body positioning and composition are similar to the digital counterpart.
The photo required a bit of creativity due to the very whimsical light, which was no longer abundant. The window was on the shaded side. On the positive side, the light was heavily blended and this eliminated harsh, strong shadows.
We experimented a bit with the scenery and story. Admittedly, we know that cats don't drink milk, but we wanted to keep some symbolism. It also made sense to remove the gag for the meal. Although now I think that these photos could have been given a second life if the gag had just been left in the mouth for the duration of the drinking....
You can see well here how artistic the composition was, how the figure drawing stands out against the wall and the strong tilt-shift effect created by changing the geometry of the lenses.
