Shibari, or the Japanese art of body binding, and bondage, are a fascinating combination of aesthetics, sensuality and technical precision. As a BDSM photographer in Germany, in this shoot I focused on the use of bamboo poles, called takemushi. It's a tool that is gaining popularity in the world of Rope Art, combining the functionality of a support point with raw, natural beauty.
Bamboo allows you to create intricate patterns and positions that would be difficult to achieve with ropes alone. Its strength and flexibility make it possible to build dynamic tensions, which in art photography translates into an extremely artistic depiction of the human body.

In my projects carried out in the Eberbach, Mannheim and Heidelberg areas, the bamboo pole serves an artistic function - harmonizing man with nature, especially in techniques such as suspension (suspension). From a photographic perspective, the ropes and bamboo create a geometric framework that restricts movement, but still exposes the emotion and trust between the model and the person tying.
